Ode to Waterfalls

Drops and drops of rain descending,
With a million million joining,
‘till a mighty river flowing,
Yields to gravity in falling,
Cascading in majestic white,
Immense in power beauty of sight,
With rainbow mist because of light,
Refracting rays for our delight.

Waterfalls come down with power,

and they are like a big tower,

The noise is very loud,

You have to shout,

and no way is there any trout.

The water starts to wear the shale away,

The whinstone collapses,

By the end of the day.

It starts to make a really big gorge,

And the whole process starts again,

I hope this poem has not been lame,

And l hope to see you again and again.
